For this brand proposal collaboration, I combined the skater, edgy world of Vans, with the adventurous, pixelated world of Minecraft. The collection evokes a nostalgic feeling for those who grew up playing the game. A reminder to keep the curious mind alive and explore what's out there. By bringing the pixelated features into real life it allows people to feel apart of the game

My design approach was using the pixel pattern from an iconic block in the game, 'bedrock', found at the bottom of the world. The bedrock block is the only block that can't be destroyed in the game. I applied the design to represent the strength behind people who push boundaries for the better. I wanted it to be subtle with the colors to match with everyday wear.

The photography included in the posters are from pixabay.com, they don't have accurate Vans X Minecraft attire on but it matched the concept. I wanted the photos to be taken at parks and capture the vibrant colors of the sky and grass to mimic the games scenery. I include the checkered, bedrock pattern at the bottom left with the collabs logo.
